It's October 2007 and I am launching an exciting new
range of designs and products. There are beautiful, durable Melamine Tablemats
in five different shapes and sizes. Round and rectangular placemats, round and
square coasters and large, elegant rectangular serving mats for the sideboard
or centre of the dining table. All the table mats have a dark green felt type
backing and are packed in sets of six in chic black gift boxes with my logo on
the top. |
|
|
I also have small Melamine trays with a white trim, just
right for a cup of tea and slice of cake or a couple of gins and tonics to take
into the garden. Sandwich and cider, perhaps. Perfect. |

|
Also new this autumn are my HOT MATS. Made of toughened,
re-cycled glass, HOT MATS are dishwasher proof and able to stand the heat of a
frying pan or cookpot straight from the oven. They can be used to roll pastry,
chop vegetables and countless other kitchen tasks (especially the messy ones).
My friend Judy likes her Frosted Leaf Hot Mat so much that it lives permanently
in the middle of her kitchen-cum-dining table. If it isn't covered by a pot of
steaming, delicious casserole it has a vase of beautiful flowers on it, set off
to perfection by the Frosted Leaf. |

Some of my designs will be familiar from my original mats
( which are no longer in production) and I have introduced new images which
extend the range beyond the Seashore and Floral themes. 'Ripples' is an image
of the river bed of the Spey, in Scotland, on a day when the sunlight played on
the shallow, flowing water. Wonderful patterns of light in the ripples are
caught by the camera. 'Ice fantastic' and 'Crystals' are amazing forms of
frozen water, the first on glass, the second being snow crystals on a gate
post. The 'Pebble' rises above the frozen water of Loch Morlich, at the foot of
the Cairngorm mountain. I have introduced some new flowers and leaves,
including the jazzy 'Holly Dazzle' which will look marvellous at Christmas and
just as lovely all the year round. Two charming roses, the pink Queen of
Denmark and the delicate Rosa Rubifolia (spot the little aphid?) contrast with
the spikey 'Allium' and the simple woodland 'Stitchwort'. As a complete
contrast there is the 'Chain' lying across the bark of a tree, the colours and
textures complimenting each other extraordinarily well. |

I hope you will enjoy using these products as much as I
enjoy designing them. If the items you choose are not in stock in your chosen
design they can be ordered and should be ready within three weeks. I shall be
selling SUSIE BOND TABLE MATS, HOT MATS and TRAYS at some fairs in the South of
England in the next few months. These include: |
